Peel your banana and eat it- it’s not cool to waste, and they’re good for you. Take the peel, and rub in a circular motion all over your face. When you feel as though you’ve covered all of your face, let it sit for at least 30 minutes before rinsing it off.
Acne remedies benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid are key ingredients in body washes designed to get rid of acne. Choose an oil-free body wash with acne medication like benzoyl peroxide or 2 percent salicylic acid. Apply the body wash to the affected areas and leave on for a minute or two to allow the acne medication to work its magic. Rinse well. Remember that products that contain benzoyl peroxide bleach fabric and may ruin towels, clothes and sheets/pillow cases. Change to white or something you don’t mind bleaching.
To get rid of pimples on your forehead, start with good skin care. Wash your face twice a day with a gentle cleanser. This will remove excess oil from your skin. If that doesn’t work, try an OTC acne cream that contains ingredients like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid.
i tried it did ot work at all it made my face break out worse so do not try this if your sking is very oily cause it put more oil in your skin which makes your face break out even more if you work out or do any kinds of exsersize.
Those are probably things you already knew to do, but its really the best way sometimes. It takes diligence to see the results, but its worth it! Let me know if you have anymore questions, I know what a bummer breakouts are!
Sodium bicarbonate, glorious sodium bicarbonate, swoops in and makes itself useful in too many ways to count. In the case of acne remedies, this fabulous substance (also known as baking soda) is useful thanks to its mild antiseptic properties, as well as its uncanny ability to fight off fungus and bacteria and dry up excess oil, all while exfoliating your skin via microdermabrasion and making it soft and beautiful. I know-I get star struck too now whenever I see a box of baking soda.
Whip up a batch of oatmeal as usual, or by following the directions on the box. When it is finished and still hot, add two tablespoons of honey. Let mixture cool to room temperature. Keep in mind it retains quite a bit of heat, so really make sure it’s a comfortable temperature before applying it to your skin-the last thing you need is a burn! Leave it on for 20-30 minutes. When has set, rinse off with warm water and pat your skin dry.
you should alcohol it worked for me just get a clothe put some on it then wash your face with it you don’t need any water or soap. it doesn’t irritate my skin. just use it everyday and you have to do it at least twice a day
I’m going to try the honey remedy. After I try that for the half an hour thing I’m going to take my shower and before bed use the ice and toothpaste trick (classic).Hopefully after trying this for three weeks it will solve all my problems. If the toothpaste trick does not work I will switch to the ice and lemon remedy before bed. I can’t wait to try this because I’ve had enough acne problems in my life. Because believe me… walking into school everyday looking like I had eaten a pepperoni pizza wrong and having all the pepperoni’s left over on my face is not fun. Not fun at ALL! Anyway guys thanks for all the reviews and thoughts from all of you… and wish me luck! I’m seriously hoping this stuff works. Fingers crossed!!!! 🙂
So I’ve been struggling with acne for years. I got it to calm down to where I just have black heads and underlying pimples during the month but right around my menstral cycle my face gets really oily and I break out on my chin and line of my face (where the oil settles at the end of the day). I don’t use anything on my face make up wise or in the line of lotions. I use st Ives apricot scrub and witch hazel as my face wash and astringent. I’ve used many things over the years and these work better than proactive did for me. But I still break out. I’m going to try the potatoes suggested in this article first but I’m really hopeful that I find something to just tone down my skin oil… I have a similar problem with my hair, but I’ve found a solution for that. ( I have greasy hair and a dry scalp, shampoos with a combination of tea tree oil, eucilyptus oil, and peppermint oil work really well. And since its healthier to switch brands and stuff like that for ur hair I use this when it get bad and finish te bottles and go to another brand and another type, then when it’s no longer balanced out I go back and treat it again.) I really hope one of these regemines is the one that finishes the cycle for me!
Doxycycline is another of the tetracyclines that is equally effective in treating acne. It comes in generic versions and also as the branded Doryx and Acticlate which are easier on the stomach. Originally FDA approved for the treatment of rosacea, Oracea is a non antibiotic dose of doxycycline that is often used as an acne treatment, as well. Taken orally, it can be used as solo therapy or in combination with a topical acne treatment regimen. More severe cases of acne might need higher doses of doxycycline, but since Oracea is not an antibiotic, many patients can be “down-graded” to Oracea after improvement and it is suitable for longterm use as it does not cause antibiotic resistance.
How to use: Directly cut open the Aloe leaf. Extract the gel and apply it on the zits. Leave it on for as many hours as possible, preferably overnight. Wash off with warm water. Repeat application 3-4 times daily when you want to get rid of zits that pop up suddenly.
Blackheads are a mild form of acne that appear as unsightly, open pores that appear darker than the skin surrounding them. They get their dark appearance from a skin pigment called melanin, which oxidizes and turns black when it’s exposed to the air. Blackheads aren’t caused by dirt, but by sebum (oil) and dead skin cells blocking the pore. If the pore remains open, it becomes a blackhead; if it’s completely blocked and closed, it turns into a whitehead.
11. Eat healthy. Your diet can effect you lots, if you eat lots of sugars you are likely to get more breakouts because your body can’t break down all that sugar. But eating a bunch of fruits is also not the answer because they have natural sugar, so it would be the same situation.
If you want to get rid of acne in less than 24 hours, and the above remedies do not work because your acne are severe, then try the 24 hour AcneFree Severe Acne Clearing System which contains Anti-Acne Cleansing Wash, Corrective Toner, Maximum Strength Repair Lotion and Retinol Complex and works continuously to eliminate the bacteria and dry up the zits in less than 24 hours.
Iodine, found in high levels in shellfish and shrimp, is “the one food we know will make things worse in almost everybody,” says Dr. Schultz. As if a breakout couldn’t get more painful, now we need to say no to lobster during them, too. Human biology is a cruel, cruel mistress.

Nobody likes getting pimples, whether they’re on your face or your breasts. Acne can happen to anyone at any age, and appear on different parts of your body for a variety of reasons. It’s important to remember that it’s treatable, and while uncomfortable, pimples aren’t usually a major health risk.
One study compared the acne-fighting abilities of clove-basil oil, 10% benzoyl peroxide and a placebo. Both the 2% and 5% clove-basil oils were found to be more effective and faster at reducing pimples than benzoyl peroxide (8).
