Honestly, I have read all the comments on this site and have done research on my own. The best thing you could do , in my opinion, is to not sleep on one side of your face too much. It causes irritation. And I found that baking soda, lemon and honey can work. And I also read Aloe has some effect. Keep doing some research and let me know.
Apply lemon juice and cucumber juice in equal proportions and leave it for 20 minutes. You will get rid of scars. Also, you can apply pure aloe vera gel on face twice daily. It is miracle plant to treat skin problems.

Japan and Taiwan changed their PA system to a 4+ tier system while Korea uses a 3+ tier system.
Drink lots of water. Although we’ve all heard to drink eight glasses of water a day, there isn’t a set amount on how much water you should consume. Water helps to detoxify your body and purify your skin, so make sure you drink water often throughout the day.
Inside your hair follicles, there are small glands producing oil called sebum. This oil mixes with skin cells in the follicle and joins them on the journey outward. But when there’s too much sebum, too many dead skin cells or something on the surface that blocks their exit from the follicle, a blockage can occur. Bacteria joins the party, and the result is acne vulgaris, the most common form of acne.
A few other remedies may help you fight pimples naturally, including applying apple cider vinegar to the skin, limiting your dairy intake and reducing stress levels. However, these have little or no research behind them, so more studies are needed.
Most people find themselves suffering from an acne outbreak at some point usually during their adolescence when they go through puberty. Whether it’s due to hormones or stress. Topical treatments on their own may not be enough to give you clear skin, especially in those with complicated, inflammatory cystic acne. There are several acne medication options approved for use by the FDA, but which one is best for you is a question for your dermatologist and/or general practitioner. Baldwin says if you have insurance and you have acne, a prescription may be the best step because “it makes no sense to try to handle the condition yourself or to use over the counter products that are always less effective than prescriptions meds.” Here are a few of the acne medications you’ll want to ask about:

There’s at least one silver lining: “Having oily skin means you have built-in moisture, which keeps skin looking younger,” she says. Remember that next time you wake up to a killer zit.
Oatmeal is much more gentle. Yet, don’t underestimate its properties. It contains saponins which is a a naural plant based cleanser that will help remove dirt and oil. It has also anti inflammatory and antioxydant properties that will help with red patches.
Green Tea can be brewed to consume or apply directly on the skin. When consumed, the tea helps to flush out the toxins and keep your skin clear. When applied on the acne, it can reduce inflammation of the acne.
Benzoyl peroxide. It’s an antibacterial that eliminates P. acnes on skin. Look for this ingredient if you have lots of pustules, since they’re an indication that you’re dealing with higher levels of bacteria on your skin. This ingredient won’t be as effective when used on blackheads.

Food – Excess oil, chemicals and preservatives, and other elements present or mixed in food can cause or trigger acne attacks. Eating nuts and oily food are said to be major contributors in having acne but experts have to still verify this.

In the meantime, unless you have a will of steel and avoid touching/rubbing/picking/applying every lotion under the sun, you run the risk of making it even worse. (And yes, that includes putting toothpaste on before bed.)

Witch hazel is the known natural astringent. Astringents can effectively contract the membranes and body tissues. This shrinking effect works upon the widely opened up pores. When the opened up skin pores close, they are protected from the further invasion of bacteria. Astringents are also skin toner and cleansers and they harden, dry and protect your skin from excessive oiliness. Witch hazel, being an astringent, contains all these properties and thus is a very good remedy for pimples.

It may take a team effort to defeat acne once and for all. Dr. Birchall recommends combining a deep pore treatment with therapies offered by dermatologists, such as Blu-U Blue Light Therapy or Levulan PhotoDynamic Therapy. Even then, he says there is no such as an instant fix—with most people require three to six months of regular treatments to see the clear skin they want. When I hit college it got a little worse, but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t handle. Fast forward a couple of years to now – I’m in my last semester of college and my face is a nightmare. I have zits all over the place and they just keep coming … and they won’t go away.
Note that the tendency to develop acne scars often runs in the family so if you have blood relatives who have acne scars: chances you may have to cope with the same issues. What’s more, Zeichner brings up the fact that now more than ever women are starting birth control pills at a young age, with many staying on the drug for decades. This might be fine while it lasts, as the hormones in the pill help to regulate oil production and keep acne under control, but Zeichner explains that it can turn into an issue after discontinuation, because the body is then forced to go through an “adjustment period” to the normal hormonal environment that the oil glands haven’t experienced in years. Needless to say, it could be worth taking into consideration next time you’re due to discuss birth control options with your OBGYN.
Colgate toothpaste worked. I had 3 active pimples and left the toothpaste on my skin overnight to wake up to the pimples gone. All that there was left was a red spot but I was able to cover it up green with makeup 🙂 i love clear skin!
“We don’t totally understand why adult women develop acne,” says Joshua Zeichner, the director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Disappointing as that is, Zeichner notes that many of the same factors that cause acne in teens play a role: pores getting clogged by oil, skin cells, and bacteria.
Eliminate dairy products. Because of the hormone content in dairy products, multiple studies have established an association between milk-product consumption and acne, leading a top dermatology journal to editorialize for a “no dairy diet,” reducing dairy consumption for anyone with acne to zero.
Dermatologists often remodel collagen using lasers, “which do not completely eliminate acne scars but can improve them by 30% or more,” according to Dr. Woolery-Lloyd. “These can be helpful in reducing the redness associated with acne marks and scars. I use a pulse-dye laser called the V-Beam for red scars. When treating older scars that are no longer red, I like to use the Fraxel laser. When lasers are used to treat acne scars, the results can differ dramatically based on two things: how many treatments you have done, and how much social downtime you’re willing to accept as part of the recovery process,” says Dr. Bowe. “Erbium laser resurfacing is also another option and it’s more aggressive than Fraxel,” says Dr. Shah. “It’s a minimal burning of surrounding tissues and has fewer side effects like less swelling and redness, but it’s won’t work for those with darker skin tones.”
