Garnier’s Pure Control anti-acne cleansing gel face wash contains the acne medication salicylic acid. With a 2 percent concentration of the active ingredient and a gel consistency, it’s gentle enough for everyday use and is a good choice if you’re wondering how to get rid of blackheads.
Thanks so much for all the suggestions-I can’t wait to try them out! Unfortunately, one of my worst habits is picking at my acne and this leads to very prominent red scabs that take quite a bit of concealer to mask when I go out in public (at home I try to keep my face clear of makeup of course). But I was wondering if anyone knew how to treat either the vibrance of the scabs, or the scabs themselves. Any tips?
Pimples are seriously the skin problem from hell. They hurt when they are forming, and they look and feel disgusting once they are there. But not it. After that pimple is gone, it leaves you with a little parting gift: an acne scar. The discolored mark is blatant proof that you had a pimple, and it was not fun.
i use crest toothpaste for my acne it seems to be working just fine. i have been using the toothpaste method for about 2 or 3 weeks and so far its working! also rubbing alcohol also works it does not get rid of all of the acne it just makes the redness and swelling go away, and also helps with irratation. my friend uses the rubbing alcohol method and it seems to work just fine on her. but these methods might now work for your skin!

I just applied the lemon juice, on the bridge of my nose in between my eyebrows, concidering I have acne and dry skin there. It burned for a few seconds but quickly went away. I’m pretty young and my first day of school is in about five days so I’m hoping it’ll clean it a little for school. I wouldn’t mind, or care if I still hadn’t a little acne but I need most of it cleared up. Hoepfully this works!
Mix equal amounts of lemon juice and honey. Use a cotton ball to apply the mixture on the affected area. Allow it to sit for about 10 to 15 minutes. Wash it off with water and pat dry. Do this once every day.
Sugar, white or brown, helps get rid of the excess skin cells clogging up your pores by acting as gentle exfoliator. Mix it up with honey, olive oil, or just plain water, and you have a sweet scrub to help rid you of your acne woes. There are plenty of different recipes out there, but we found this one to be particularly delightful (courtesy of cjanecreate.com-thank you for sharing this!)
Use a sulfur treatment. Sulfur has a high pH level, which can help your skin attain the balance it needs to get rid of pimples. Sulfur gels, soaps, and creams will vary depending on the product you use. Generally, however, you can simply clean the affected area and apply a dollop of the sulfur product to the pimple.
I am 17 and have had horrible severe acne all over my face, arms, and back since the third grade because I have overactive oil glands. I highly recommend the oatmeal face mask immediately after I washed it off my skin was softer and the irritation and redness went down and I have rosacea and it also helped reduce that as well and made my acne less severe. Thank you so much for your help.
In addition, the heat produced by your phone can help bacteria to multiply. To keep the germs from landing on your face, wipe the surface of your phone with a little hand sanitizer each day. It’s best to use headphones.
Wait 15 minutes after washing the skin to apply a topical acne treatment product. Apply to the face a lotion or gel that contains a five percent concentration of benzoyl peroxide. Use the benzoyl peroxide once a day for the first week. After the first week, apply twice a day. Put the benzoyl peroxide on all areas of acne prone skin, not only on spots with active breakouts.
To use this method, combine a bit of water and a few teaspoons of baking soda and mix until it becomes a paste. Massage it onto your face for one to two minutes and keep it there for a few more before washing it out. Don’t forget to apply moisturizer after because baking soda can make your skin dry.9
Take a small amount of toothpaste (with a low fluoride content) on your fingertips and apply it on your pimples. Leave it on overnight, and wash your face with cold water the next morning. The antimicrobial properties present in toothpaste might help in treating your pimples. But note: Avoid teeth whitening toothpastes and remember to choose a toothpaste with a low fluoride content. Organic toothpastes could be the best bet in this regard.
